A successful school district provides a safe, nurturing school environment in which students not only gain knowledge but also learn to think. To accomplish that, the participation of many sectors of our community is required. It is also dependent upon the actions of the school board, administrators, principals, teachers, parents and students. We must restore a value system within our public schools which reflects the principles we believe in including valuing our children and their education, valuing the participation of parents, neighbors, the business community, the faith based community and other community based organizations; and valuing openness and transparency in the actions we take and the decisions we make.
